  4. What this software does
  5. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

  7. This application is a front end for either of the authors
  8. surface plotting applications, viz. !Surface or !3DPlotter.
  9. It allows you to enter a function, z=f(x,y) in BASIC format,
  10. and will then produce a file in the correct format for
  11. loading into the actual surface plotting programs. If one of
  12. these programs is active at the same time as 3DFnEdit, then
  13. the data file is transferred transparently, using the
  14. Desktop message transfer facilities. The data files can also
  15. be saved in ASCII format.

  17. Running 3DFnEdit
  18. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

  20. Double clicking on the !3DFnEdit icon in a directory viewer
  21. will install its icon on the icon bar. Clicking on the
  22. iconbar icon will open a dialogue window to enter the
  23. function. A previous data file can also be loaded for
  24. editing by standard drag and drop. Since the data file is of
  25. text file type, it is not possible to double click to load
  26. it.

  29. !BubbleHelp.

  34. the public domain, but remains the copyright of the author,
  35. Chris Johnson, and is released as Shareware only, and should
  36. not be posted on bulletin boards or circulated on any public
  37. domain software discs, except by prior and express agreement
  38. with the author.

  41. and making use of the software other than for trial
  42. purposes, is requested to register with the author by
  43. sending a minimum of £3. All registered users will be
  44. informed from time to time of any significant improvements
  45. or 'bug' fixes and will be entitled to upgraded versions of
  46. the software free of charge at any time by sending a blank
  47. disc, an SAE and sufficient to cover return postage. A
  48. single registration will cover use of the complete suite of
  49. graphing software produced by the author.

  52. express or implied, is given as to the suitability of the
  53. software for any purpose.
